A Couple of Duhhhh Moments

Those of you who used to watch "That 70's Show" will certainly understand what I'm about to admit. It's not that I was a fan of the show, but my ex was a real TV addict, so I wound up wasting far too much time in front of the boob-tube for his sake.
However, this past Sunday morning, I'm sure that the character of Red Forman would have taken much pleasure in applying his favourite insult to yours truly and perhaps rightly so.
While setting up my "Gifters" page, I had put the payment options, on "Test Mode" in order to make sure things were as they should be. Later when it was ready, I forgot to change it to "Live Mode". I only became aware of my "Dumb-Ass" mistake after my friend, Bill G. had messaged me to let me know that my form hadn't worked for him. After checking a few things I soon discovered my blunder and swiftly fixed it. The form is now "Live"' and Gifters can use it. I actually tested it using my own credit card and all went well. I'll never know if I've lost any potential Gifters or not, but I thought I'd pass on my learned experience to my fellow entrepreneurs.
At the same time as figuring out that little snag, I also learned that in terms of using "E-Transfers," each country (or at least Canada and the U.S.) has its own E-Transfer system. In Canada it's called "Interac", but in the U.S. it's called VennMo. These E-Transfer systems, sadly, are limited to their own countries, so E-Transfering from one's bank account is not an option to move funds between countries. This is also valuable info for those who do online interactions, and I thank Bill for bringing this to my attention.

In other news: Something "Old" Became "New" Again.

Over the weekend I also spent a little time updating my first ever Kindle e-pub. I had taken it off Amazon because it beared my dead married name. For years I had avoided dealing with it simply because of the cover info. Yet, again over the weekend, I suddenly realized just how extremely simple it would be to make the necessary changes, so I did! So, "Never Judge A Book By Its Cover (or Title)" is now back on Amazon. It should be free, but at the moment it's showing a price. I'm trying to fix this and hopefully it'll be corrected by Amazon soon.
I also received my first "Ask Gerianne" (in print) question(s) from Camilla Thompson, who is a great author and my fellow GO-3D alumnus. Her book: "Skating Late" is smart and a treat to read. It's also available on Amazon. Check it out! I will be answering Camilla's question in a week or two. So stay tuned.
Until next time...
