An Apology and A Thank You!

Several of you have been kind enough and supportive enough to be "testers" for me as I learn and get use to this MailPoet WordPress plug-in. First, I thank all of you so very much for helping in this way.
This past Thursday, (Oct. 26) the following was supposed to go out to all my subscribers. Unfortunately though MailPoet decided that it only wanted to send to about 20% of my subscribers. (Bad MailPoet! Bad!!! Go to your room MailPoet!) So, I'm giving it a second chance to try again.)
For those who did receive my send out on Thursday, I do apologize that you're receiving it again, and for most of you who did not receive it, I didn't want you to miss out - especially learning about Heidi, "The Grateful Baker"

Happy Thursday Folks!

I just wanted to pop into your email box for a minute to say howdy and a few quick things....

Life After GO-3D

As many folks in my daily life know, between Sept. '22 and Sept. '23, I was honoured to be a participant in a program called GO-3D.
GO-3D stands for: "Growth / Opportunities / Determination / Drive / Disability"
I've often described GO-3D as the brainchild/offspring between Employment Nova Scotia and TeamWork Cooperative.
You'll be hearing much more from me about this awesome program, but for now I'll just say that since I now know so many great entrepreneurs with some amazing ventures on the go, I'm going to highlight one or two of these businesses in each of my send outs.

In future send outs you'll be hearing lots more about GO-3D, but for now I'll share one of my favourite pics from our Celebration of Completion ceremony, on Sept. 13/23.

Heidi! "The Grateful Baker"
And here's Heidi's incredible business story:
My name is Heidi and I am the owner of The Grateful Baker. The story of my business begins many years ago.
I was born into a small but mighty rural Nova Scotia family of talented cooks and bakers. In fact, my parents met when they were both working in the kitchen of a famous inn located in a town rich in history. I have baked my entire life but always as a hobby and I loved to share it with others.
In 2019, I lost my family through a series of terminal illnesses and during the ensuing grief journey, I found myself baking more as a way to hoour them and to process my new reality.
I was also in a period of career transition and one day, it was like a light bulb went off... I could do what people have often suggested and open my own baking business!
I am very excited to be taking that step and to share both my love of baking and my gratitude for my heritage with you all.

Mountain Climbing Anyone???

(Click heading to see video)
Okay here's the dirty little secret about the above video link. From our hotel room we noticed a path going up the mountain. Me being me, I wanted to see how far up I could get. Very sadly, this paved path only led to an upper level loading dock area for a strip-mall on West Street. The mountain path is unpaved and seems not to have any access for wheelchairs, (that I could find in a two minute search.) But maybe next time I'll find a way. lol
